A long-term Sandbox partner — telling the story in Danish.

TV2 Sport Denmark has used Sandbox across the Tour de France and handball for years — the same platform, a different language, and a storytelling style all their own.

The challenge

One platform, two sports, a different audience.

TV2 Denmark covers very different sports for a Danish audience — the three-week tactical sprawl of the Tour de France and the fast, end-to-end rhythm of elite handball. Each needs its own visual storytelling, in Danish, for viewers with their own expectations — but a broadcaster can't stand up a brand-new system for every sport.

The solution

The same Sandbox, retuned per sport.

TV2's analysts use the same Sandbox AR environment for both sports — the playground reconfigured for the peloton or the handball court, and operated live by touch. On the Tour de France, TV2 ran Sandbox alongside NBC Sports: two broadcasters, two languages, two storytelling traditions, one platform and one live data feed.

The outcome

Years of partnership, across sports.

TV2 Denmark is one of Sandbox's longest-running broadcast partners — proof that the platform travels across sports and languages, and that it can serve multiple broadcasters on the very same event without rebuilding the technology.
